Train carrying oil, gas derails west of Edmonton: TSB

GAINFORD, Alta. – The Transportation Safety Board is investigating after a CN train carrying oil and gas derailed west of Edmonton.

The agency says 13 cars — four carrying petroleum crude oil and nine carrying liquefied petroleum gas — came off the tracks in the hamlet of Gainford.

Residents say the entire community has been evacuated.
