Blasting Permit Extended at Tallus Heights Drive

A blasting permit has been extended to accommodate the development of 20 lots as part of Phase 9 of the Tallus Ridge neighbourhood located at the south end of Tallus Heights Drive.

The original blasting permit was granted to Tallus Ridge Developments, TT Contracting and Little Rock Drilling and Blasting for a three month period ending November 30. The City of West Kelowna has granted an extension to January 31, 2018.

Activity will occur intermittently between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday. As part of WorkSafeBC requirements, safety horns will sound before the blast and once the area is cleared. Vibration and air over pressure monitoring will be conducted during the blasting activity. All non-essential pedestrian and vehicle traffic will be prohibited within the work zone.

Those with questions or concerns should contact the blasting company at 250-365-9833 or littlerockdrilling@shaw.ca or the General Contractor, TT Contracting, at 778-478-3559.
