Police arrest suspect in fatal Virginia mall stabbing
WOODBRIDGE, Va. – Police have arrested a suspect they say fatally stabbed a security guard at a mall in northern Virginia.
District of Columbia police have arrested 35-year-old Jamel Carlos Kingsbury, who police say stabbed a guard at the Burlington Coat Factory inside the Potomac Mills Mall in Woodbridge on Saturday. Police say two security guards saw Kingsbury shoplifting and approached him. Police say a struggle ensued, and Kingsbury stabbed one of the guards then took off running. The Prince William County police had been searching for Kingsbury since the incident.
The guard, 44-year-old Larry Donnell Drumgole, died at a local hospital on Saturday.
Kingsbury has been charged with murder.
