Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS – Cass the horse might have had a rough start in life but now the B.C. SPCA in Kamloops is trying to find her a family that will love and cherish her.

Cass arrived at the Kamloops Shelter as a part of a cruelty investigation. The SPCA pet profile says she was "underweight with a heavy parasite load and needed a hernia surgery." She also had a neglected hoof, however, it has been trimmed and she is ready for her new home.

Cass stands at approximately 15.3 hands and is a very young horse; almost two years old.

She is a sweet girl who likes to be groomed and does well with other horses.

Cass' ideal home would be one with people who are experienced with horses because she is still learning. The SPCA believes she would do well in a home with another horse to help her anxiety.

If you are familiar with starting a young horse the SPCA would like to encourage you to meet Cass because they believe she is going to be an amazing partner for someone.

If you are interested in meeting Cass please contact the SPCA by phone at 250-376-7722, or email at kamloops@spca.bc.ca. You can visit the website for more information about Cass. Her animal ID number is 443506.
