Winning lotto ticket worth $1 million sold in Vernon

KAMLOOPS – One of the 32 Maxmillions prizes of $1 million each up for grabs in last night’s Lotto Max draw was sold in Vernon.

The B.C. Lottery Corporation says 16 of the 32 prizes were claimed by a total of 21 winning tickets — which means some will be shared.

A ticket sold in Vernon won one of those Maxmillions prizes. The lottery corporation hasn’t said exactly where the ticket was sold.

As well, someone in Kelowna has a lottery ticket worth $219,000 after matching six of seven numbers on the Lotto Max draw.

The winning ticket for the enormous $60 million Lotto Max jackpot was sold in Quebec.

The jackpot for the next Lotto Max draw on Dec. 29 will be approximately $26 million.
