VIDEO: North Okanagan RCMP bust the Grinch at local mall

VERNON – The Grinch didn’t have a hope of making a clean getaway after he was spotted by off-duty members of the Vernon RCMP at a local mall on Saturday.

The officers quickly cornered the green suspect yesterday, Dec. 23, at the kiosk where Santa was taking photos with the boys and girls at a busy Village Green mall in Vernon.

Police say they had received a tip that the Grinch was in the area.

He was arrested for theft over $5,000 in connection with his theft of Christmas during his daring nighttime raid on the unsuspecting residents of Whoville last year.

The Grinch was read his rights as the officers put him in handcuffs and led him away.

Image Studios, who were snapping the photos with Santa in the mall, managed to capture the Grinch’s arrest on video and posted it to Facebook.
