2 rescued from Southern California thrill ride

VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Two people got more than they paid for when a thrill ride at a small Southern California amusement park got stuck with the pair 165 feet in the air.

The San Bernardino County Fire Department says the Sky Screamer ride got stuck Sunday night at the Scandia park in the high desert city of Victorville.

Firefighters and mechanics were finally able to bring a 20-year-old man and 14-year-old boy down in a controlled descent.
