Coquihalla closed southbound between Merritt and Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – The southbound lane of Highway 5 between Merritt and Kamloops is currently blocked.

Kamloops RCMP Staff Sgt. Jay Wessel says in a news release that the Coquihalla is blocked southbound near the Inks Lake turnoff by a semi truck on its side.

Wessel says it's not yet known how long the highway will be closed.

Drivers are being advised to avoid travelling due to poor road conditions.
