Damaged jet ski found at Lake Mead Rec Area; Operator sought

LAKE MEAD NATIONAL RECREATION AREA, Nev. – Authorities at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area say they have found an unoccupied jet ski with damage to the underside and are looking for the watercraft’s operator.

They say the swamped jet ski was found Sunday near Boulder Harbor by the Nevada Department of Wildlife and was towed to shore.

National Park Service rangers and Nevada wildlife wardens have been searching the area for a possible operator.

Authorities say they are unable to identify the owner using the registration on the vessel.
