Bombers and Ticats meet in final game of season Saturday with little on line

WINNIPEG – The game won’t affect how they finish the season, but both the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (3-14) and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (9-8) insist they’ll be doing all they can to win when they meet at Investers Group Field on Saturday.

It’s the last regular-season game for both teams, and the Ticats have already made the playoffs.

The Bombers would tie their worst season ever in the 18-game CFL with a loss.

Hamilton coach Kent Austin and Bomber coach Tim Burke have different reasons for wanting to win.

Austin says they need to tune up for their playoff push and the Bombers want to end a dismal season on a high note.
