Glenn Howard continues to win at Masters Grand Slam of Curling

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – Canadian Glenn Howard needed an extra end against Sven Michel of Switzerland to preserve his perfect record at the Masters Grand Slam of Curling on Friday.

The skip from Coldwater, Ont., scored one in the ninth end to edge Michel 7-6 and improve to 4-0 atop the men’s standings.

Edmonton’s Kevin Martin is tied for second at 3-1 following a 6-2 win over American Tyler George. Rasmus Stjerne of Denmark, who had the morning off, is also at 3-1.

In other Draw 10 men’s results, Peter De Boer of New Zealand (1-3) defeated Niklas Edin of Sweden (1-2) 6-5 and Winnipeg’s Mike McEwen (1-3) edged Russian Andrey Drozdov (0-3) 6-5.

On the women’s side, Winnipeg’s Jennifer Jones improved to 3-1 with a 7-5 win over American Erika Brown (0-3)

Margaretha Sigfridsson of Sweden leads the standings at 4-0. She had the morning off.
