Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane won’t make trip to Chicago due to injury

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Jets forward Evander Kane won’t be making the trip to Chicago.

Kane is missing his second straight game with an unspecified injury.

He has nine points (six goals, three assists) in 15 games this season.

Winnipeg head coach Claude Noel is hoping the Jets can put together the same kind of game they managed without Kane when they beat Detroit on Monday.

More than the 4-2 win, Noel was happy to see the Jets execute many of the things he’s been preaching for some time.

Winnipeg’s improved puck control created scoring chances against one of the Eastern Conference’s stronger teams.
