Charges laid in Kamloops pellet gun incident

KAMLOOPS – A Kamloops man will make an appearance in court today, facing several charges in connection to a pellet gun incident.

Joadth Michael Anderson, 32, appeared in court late last week and was remanded to appear in Kamloops Provincial Court today, Jan. 8, on several charges.

Anderson is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, pointing a firearm and failing to comply with a probation order.

He was arrested Jan. 5 after police received reports of someone waving a firearm and threatening people inside of the Aboriginal Friendship Society on Palm Street.

The suspect was located about one block away and a police dog later recovered a pellet gun.
