Kamloops man wanted for aggravated assault

Kamloops RCMP have a suspect in connection with a serious assault in the city last week.

Officers were called to the 400 block of Tranquille Road on Wednesday, May 8, where a man has been found with serious injuries, according to an RCMP media release. He was transported to hospital.

Investigators identified the suspect and recommended a charge of aggravated assault to the BC Protection Service which was approved.

A warrant was issued for Mattheau Michael Myron Aldridge, 21, of Kamloops today, May 15.

Police are hoping someone recognizes him and knows where he is.

RCMP describe Aldridge as a Caucasian male, 5’8” tall, 150 lb. with brown hair and green eyes.

Police warn that if you see him, don’t approach him and instead call 911.

Anyone with information that may help police find Aldridge are asked to call Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000, or their local police.
