Salmon Arm RCMP looking for armed robbery suspect

SALMON ARM – Police are looking for a man who used a gun to rob a storie in Salmon Arm on the weekend.

The robbery took place on Ross Street Jan. 6 at approximately 1:30 p.m. according to a release from Salmon Arm RCMP.

A lone male wearing dark clothes and a dark scarf over his face entered a financial institution holding a handgun and demanded cash from the employee, says police spokesperson Staff Sgt. Scott West.

He said the robber made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is being described as Caucasian with dark hair and was last seen wearing a dark grey hoodie, black pants and appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old.
