Human caused wildfire west of Kamloops reaches 30 hectares

An out of control wildfire west of Kamloops has reached 30 hectares.

The fire is next to the Trans-Canada Highway at Drinkwater Road, near Spences Bridge, according to BC Wildfire Service.

The fire was discovered around 3 p.m. on May 24. The BC Wildfire Service said it was human caused.

There are currently no restrictions, evacuation orders nor alerts related to the fire.
