Anthony Mackie, actor in Oscar-winning ‘The Hurt Locker,’ arrested in NYC on DWI charge

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Actor Anthony Mackie has been arrested in New York City on a driving while intoxicated charge.

Police in New York say the 35-year-old “Pain & Gain” actor was pulled over just before 1:30 a.m. Saturday in Harlem. They say he refused to take a Breathalyzer test to measure his blood alcohol level.

Mackie was awaiting arraignment in Manhattan Criminal Court and unavailable for comment. A publicist for the “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” co-star had no comment Saturday.

Mackie has appeared in numerous films, such as the Oscar-winning “The Hurt Locker,” ”The Adjustment Bureau,” and “Man on a Ledge.”
