Accused killer Magnotta formally enters not-guilty pleas again
MONTREAL – Accused killer Luka Rocco Magnotta has pleaded not guilty again in the death and dismemberment of Chinese student Jun Lin in 2012.
Magnotta entered the pleas in a Montreal courtroom this morning during a pre-trial conference involving the Superior Court justice who will oversee his trial.
He had already pleaded not guilty in a lower court to the five charges in June 2012.
His trial is set to begin next September.
Magnotta faces five charges, including first-degree murder, related to the slaying of Lin in May 2012.
Magnotta, a former stripper and porn actor, was arrested in Berlin in June 2012 following an international manhunt that made headlines around the world.
