Fortress Paper misses expectations despite cutting Q3 losses to $12.4 million

VANCOUVER – Fortress Paper (TSX:FTP) missed analyst expectations even though its net losses were cut by more than a third to $12.4 million in the third quarter on a large increase in revenue. Excluding one-time items, the Vancouver-based company said it lost $15.6 million from continuing operations, or $1.07 per share. That was two cents below analyst forecasts but better than the $1.61 per share or $23.2 million it lost in the same quarter a year ago.
