Penticton police concerned after finding second firearm in a vehicle within a week
PENTICTON – RCMP have taken another firearm off the street following an arrest in Okanagan Falls, but they’re concerned about the number they are finding.
RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Dan Moskaluk said in a press release members of the Targeted Enforcement Unit arrested a 30-year-old man in Okanagan Falls on Jan.17 after pulling over a vehicle on Main Street.
Samuel Prescott-Perreault faces a number of weapons charges after being found with a loaded, sawed-off double-barrelled shotgun in the vehicle.
Perreault was expected to appear in court today, Jan. 19.
Moskaluk notes this incident is the second time this week police have found a loaded firearm in a vehicle.
