BATHURST, N.B. – Ivan Ivan scored 39 seconds into overtime as the Cape Breton Eagles edged the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 4-3 on Thursday in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.
Kiefer Lyons, Conor Shortall and Émile Hegarty-Aubin all scored in the first period as Cape Breton (7-14-4), built a 3-0 lead.
Rémi Delafontaine made 43 saves for the win in net.
Cole Huckins, Marc-André Gaudet and Dylan Andrews responded for the Titan (10-10-3), forcing the extra period.
The Eagles were 1 for 2 on the power play and Acadie-Bathurst could not connect on the man advantage.

BOISBRIAND, Que. — Simon Pinard’s hat trick included the game-winning goal as the Armada slipped past Chicoutimi.
Miguël Tourigny, Oleksiy Myklukha and Zachary Roy rounded out the attack for Blainville-Boisbriand (12-9-2).
Andrei Loshko, Félix Lafrance, Julien Bourget and Julien Hébert supplied the offence for the Sagueneens (11-10-3).
