Crime Stoppers donation box stolen from Kelowna store

KELOWNA – An unknown amount of money was stolen from a Crime Stoppers donation box at a Kelowna convenience store yesterday.

A media release from Crime Stoppers says the clerk at the 7-Eleven on Harvey Avenue near Spall Road was working in the back when she heard a noise yesterday, Jan. 21.

“When she came out she saw two men running away,” the release says.

Video surveillance shows one man cutting the cord to the donation box before they bolted from the store. 

The amount of money stolen is not known.
