
Chase RCMP seeking grocery store armed robbery suspect
CHASE – Police in Chase are searching for a suspect after a robbery at a local grocery store last night.
Chase RCMP Cpl. Scott Linklater says in a news release officers were alerted to the robbery at approximately 6:30 p.m. yesterday, Jan. 21.
Linklater says an unknown man entered the Chase Groceteria, brandished a knife and demanded money from the clerk. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, the suspect fled on foot.
Police describe the suspect as a First Nations man, approximately 5'6", with a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweater, grey pants and a red handkerchief covering his face.
