Gunfire at suburban Houston apartment complex kills 3, wounds 2

CYPRESS, Texas – Three people are dead and two have been airlifted to hospitals after gunfire erupted at a suburban Houston apartment complex.

The incident happened about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in Cypress, which is an unincorporated suburb 25 miles northwest of downtown Houston. Cypress-Fairbanks Volunteer Fire Department spokesman Robert Rasa said two women and a man were killed at the apartment complex. He said a man and a woman were airlifted to a Houston hospital in critical condition.

Harris County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Alan Bernstein said deputies were called the scene by a report of shots fired. No other details are available.
