Man stabbed at Kelowna shopping area

A man was stabbed Sunday afternoon outside a Kelowna business.

Officers were called to what police refer to as a “shopping area” in the 2000 block of Springfield Road at around 3:15 p.m., June 23, according to a media release. There is a funeral home and an automotive business in that block of Springfield.

The victim, who was stabbed several times, was taken to Kelowna General Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

"Investigators are currently canvassing for CCTV and asking the public for any dash camera or personal video of the area including Vasile Road and Agassiz Road around the time of the incident,” reads the RCMP release.

No arrests have been made and RCMP say the stabbing was an isolated incident.

Anyone who witnessed the stabbing or has video footage is asked to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300 and reference file number 2024-34609.
