San Antonio woman sentenced to 2 years for husband’s death
SAN ANTONIO – A jury that convicted a San Antonio woman of murder in the 2013 death of her estranged husband has sentenced her to just two years in prison.
Frances Hall could have been sentenced to up to life imprisonment for the collision of her SUV and his motorcycle as she chased him.
However, the Bexar (BAYR) County jury concluded that the woman’s “sudden passion” was a mitigating factor in her guilt in the death of trucking company owner Bill Hall Jr.
Her attorneys argued the wreck was an accident.
She also got a two-year prison sentence for aggravated assault for hitting a vehicle driven by her husband’s alleged mistress in the same pursuit. The sentences will be served concurrently.
