Canada’s Erik Guay fastest in training for Lake Louise World Cup downhill

LAKE LOUISE, Alta. – Canada’s Erik Guay was the fastest in training for the season-opening men’s World Cup downhill.

The Mont-Tremblant, Que., native posted a time of one minute 50 seconds in the first of three training runs for Saturday’s downhill in Lake Louise, Alta.

Steven Nyman of the U.S. was second in 1:50.20 and Patrick Kueng of Switzerland was third in 1:50.29.

Vancouver’s Manuel Osborne-Paradis finished sixth and Calgary’s Jan Hudec was 10th.
