Norway’s Aksel Lund Svindal wins super-G at Lake Louise World Cup

LAKE LOUISE, Alta. – Aksel Lund Svindal of Norway won the men’s World Cup super-G on Sunday.

It was the third straight super-G win for Svindal in Lake Louise, Alta., after victories in 2012 and 2011.

Svdinal finished in one minute 28.53 seconds.

Runner-up Matthias Mayer of Austria posted a time of 1:28.77 and his teammate Georg Streitberger was third in 1:28.91.

Calgary’s Jan Hudec was the top Canadian in 10th.
