One dead in crash between bus and car in Enderby

One of three people in a small car that was hit by a commercial coach just south of Enderby Tuesday died at the scene.

Emergency crews were called the crash in the intersection of Highway 97A and Canyon Road at approximately 3:15 p.m. Sept. 10, according to an RCMP media release

RCMP said a grey Honda Accord travelling northbound on the highway made a left hand turn across incoming traffic and was hit on the rear passenger side by the commercial coach travelling southbound on the highway.

Two of the three people in the Honda were taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries but the third occupant was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

RCMP have not released the identify of the person killed.

Highway 97A was closed for several hours Tuesday afternoon for police to conduct their investigation.
