Manikas, Thompson score second-period goals to pace Wolves to 3-1 win over Battalion

SUDBURY, ONTARIO – Kosta Manikas and Jack Thompson scored second-period goals to pace the Sudbury Wolves past the North Bay Battalion 3-1 in the lone OHL game Sunday afternoon.

Manikas opened the scoring before Thompson put Sudbury (4-6-1-0) ahead 2-1 later in the period. Nick DeGrazia had the lone goal of the third while goalie Mitchell Weeks stopped 34 shots.

Dalyen Wakely had the lone goal for North Bay (6-5-0-0) while goaltender Dom DiVincentiis made 32 saves.
