PENTICTON – A group of radio enthusiasts is trying to convince the federal government to give their group a licence to get onto the airwaves.
The Peach City Radio Society has applied to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission for permission to run a low power, English language FM radio station, according to the group’s website.
Anyone interested in supporting the organization’s bid to go from an online broadcaster to a live-on-the-air broadcaster, can send the commissioners a letter of support.
The commission’s consultation period runs until Nov. 20, 2014.
The details about how to go about submitting a letter to the CRTC is on the Peach City Radio Society website.
