Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS – Before Montgomery came to the SPCA he would get into trouble with other cats in the neighbourhood.

He was nervous around people, also particularly wary of too much touching and fast movements.

Now he has slowly started to become more relaxed and enjoying time with people, Kamloops SPCA attendant Lyndsay Stewart says. He even seems to enjoy being read to.

Montgomery is still not used to being touched so he can get upset if a hand goes too far down his body. He prefers gentle pats to the head, or between the shoulders. Be prepared to have him wrapped around people’s legs at breakfast time or when a treat bag is in sight.

Stewart says he can still be nervous around strangers so multiple visits will be needed to help build a bond.

For more information about Montgomery contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. His animal ID number is 452741.

Visit the shelter's webpage for more information such as location, adoption fees and hours of operation.
