Kelowna Chiefs hunt down Posse

Kelowna – Rutland’s very own Kelowna Chiefs made it two straight victories Friday night.

The Chiefs defeated the Princeton Posse 4 – 1.

Brady Mende scored for the Chiefs at 2:23 in the first period, kicking off a series of goals by Kelowna.

Nick Josephs (2G, 2A) would go on to net two more in the second period while Nicholas Kovacik secured the win with a goal at 8:32 in the third.

Scoring for the Posse was Eric Kubis in the second period.

Connor DeMelo faced 31 shots between the pipes.

The win gives the Chiefs two points but keeps them in second place in the Okanagan Division.

Up next, the Kelowna Chiefs welcome the North Okanagan Knights on Saturday October 5th.  The Knights currently sit in first place in the Okanagan Division.  Puck drops at 7PM.
