Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week
KAMLOOPS – Chico is a sweet introverted dog staying at the Kamloops SPCA.
He is housetrained and knows some basic commands like sit, stay, and shake a paw, according to animal attendant Lyndsay Stewart in a media release.
This nine-year-old German shepherd cross is unsure of new situations and objects such as brushes and leashes. He is learning how to walk on a leash and doing well but can still get a little scared.
Chico needs to be introduced to new people and new situations slowly with positive reinforcement, Stewart says.
A quieter home would suit him best, and children may be too overwhelming.
His new guardians will need to be patient and spend a lot of time with him.
Chico loves playing with his squeaky stuffed toys.
He is eager to please and will make a loyal and loving companion.
For more information about Chico contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. His animal ID number is 455205.
