Okanagan musician’s livelihood threatened by theft near Lumby

LUMBY – Okanagan musician went to load up his gear before a show yesterday only to find his equipment had been stolen.

Tim Reardon, lead vocals of The Young’uns, says he was getting ready to perform at The Blue Grotto in Kamloops on Friday, March 9. When he opened his garage he saw much of his gear was gone — roughly $8,000 worth.

“I noticed a few days ago the garage door was broken,” Reardon says in a phone interview. “I didn’t think anything of it. I thought something was wrong with the lock or something.”

He believes the theft may have happened on Monday, March 5 or Tuesday, March 6 from his home off of Highway 6 near Lumby.

Anyone who has seen people carrying extra band equipment, selling equipment online or at pawn shops is asked to call RCMP.
