KELOWNA – Two suspicious car fires in the same block within a 24 hour period have police on the alert.
The first fire happened Oct. 5 at about 1:46 a.m. in the 3000 block of De Montreiul Court in Kelowna. The second happened Oct. 6 at 2:35 a.m. in the same location. De Montreiul Court is directly across from the Okanagan College parking lot. In each incident, it was the same Nissan Rogue fully engulfed in flames when Mounties arrived.
The fire department extinguished the fire and the car was towed to a compound. Both fires are under investigation.
