Wanted man may be in Okanagan

THOMPSON-OKANAGAN – The Calgary Police Service believe a man wanted on warrants for a series of commercial break and enters may be in the Okanagan.

In early September the police service issued a request for more information about a man believed to be linked to numerous occurrences of commercial property break and enter and thefts across the city dating back to 2010. Many of the incidents involved the culprit or culprits breaking into a store within a strip mall and accessing neighbouring businesses by smashing through drywall.

As a result of that release and information provided by the public, a person of interest was identified.

Robert Kelly Wellingford, also known as Robert Keith McLaughlin, 53, is currently wanted on warrants in connection to 10 occurrences of break and enter and theft. He is described as Caucasian, 6’1” tall, weighing approximately 225 pounds, with blonde hair and hazel eyes. He also walks with a slight limp.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
