Man who bought $500,000 winning lottery ticket comes forward

CHASE – A man from Tappen might just build himself a new house after a hefty lottery win.

Terry Sigurdson purchased an Extra ticket at Little Shuswap Lake Gas located in Chase and he won $500,000 in last weeks Lotto 6/49 draw.

Sigurdson renovates homes for a living and thanks to his significant pay day, his next project may be his own home, according to B.C. Lottery Corporation media release.

“There has been buzz around town about a winning ticket sold in the area so I decided I would check my ticket,” said Sigurdson in the release. “Lo and behold, that winning ticket was actually mine!”

He enjoys picking out his own numbers and often uses birthdays in his selection.
