CHICAGO (AP) — Alex Muyl scored a goal, Aníbal Godoy added two assist and Elliot Joseph Panicco had six saves Saturday night to help Nashville SC beat the Chicago Fire 3-0 in the regular season finale for both teams.

Muyl cut back to evade a defender near the corner of the penalty area and then scored on a shot that deflected off a defender a slipped under the crossbar to give Nashville (9-16-9) a 1-0 lead in the 54th minute.

Sam Surridege raced through or around a handful of Fire players from near midfield to the left of the penalty spot, where he tapped a rolling shot into the net to make it 2-0 in the 87th.

Jacob Shaffelburg capped the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time. The 24-year-old winger slipped behind the defense and ran onto a long ball played by Godoy down the right side before slipping a shot between the legs of defender Jonathan Dean off the near post to make it 3-0.
