Buffalo Bills prove to be solid selection for Proline bettors

The Buffalo Bills were a solid pick Sunday for Proline bettors.

Buffalo (5-2) solidified its position atop the AFC East with a 34-10 win over the Tennessee Titans. According to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp., 94 per cent of Proline bettors backed the win while 86 per cent had the Bills at -8.5.

Another solid bet was Washington’s 40-7 win over the Carolina Panthers as 91 per cent of Proline players backed the Commanders. And 87 per cent predicted the Philadelphia Eagles’ 28-3 victory over the New York Giants.

In other action, the Cincinnati Bengals defeated the Cleveland Browns 21-14, with 79 per cent of Proline players correctly selecting the win. However, just 26 per cent backed the Seattle Seahawks in their 34-14 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

And even with receiver Davante Adams in the lineup, the New York Jets fell 37-15 to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday night. Just 45 per cent of bettors successfully backed the Steelers while 31 per cent took Pittsburgh at +1.5.

Only 14 per cent of players had New York running back Breece Hall as the first touchdown scorer. Just 44 per cent took running back Najee Harris to score anytime for Pittsburgh while 18 per cent had receiver George Pickens.

On Monday night, the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 41-31 while the Arizona Cardinals edged the Los Angeles Chargers 17-15.

A solid 72 per cent of bettors backed the Ravens’ victory while 68 per cent had them at -3.5. But just 41 per cent had the Cardinals winning while only 25 per selected them to cover at +1.5.

And less than one per cent had Arizona receiver Greg Dortch as the first touchdown scorer in the game.

Meanwhile, the World Series is set with the New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers. New York defeated Cleveland Guardians 4-1 to win the American League Championship Series while L.A. got past the New York Mets in six games in the National League.

New York had to go 10 innings Saturday to advance, thanks to Juan Soto’s three-run homer that earned the Yankees the 5-2 victory. Fifty-two per cent of Proline players backed the Yankees and 77 per cent had them to cover at -1.5.

Of the players that bet on total homers, 12 per cent had Soto at over 0.5. But 74 per cent successfully predicted the series going five games.

On Sunday, the Dodgers advanced with a 10-5 win. Sixty-seven per cent backed Los Angeles while 86 had the squad covering at -1.5 while a whopping 92 per cent the franchise winning the series.

But only 32 of bettors had the series going six games.

The World Series begins Friday. Fifty-seven per cent of bettors have Los Angeles winning the opener with 90 per cent backing the NL club to cover at -1.5.

Soto is currently the most popular pick to hit a home run. The early picks for MVP are L.A.’s Shohei Ohtani (26 per cent) and New York’s Aaron Judge (25 per cent).

Twenty-seven per cent of bettors have taken the Dodgers to win the series outright with nine per cent favouring the Yankees.

In NHL action, the Toronto Maple Leafs earned a 6-2 win over the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday before dropping a 4-1 decision to the New York Rangers on Saturday night. Forty-four per cent of bettors backed New York while 48 per cent had the Rangers to cover +1.5.

Also on Saturday, the Ottawa Senators edged the Tampa Bay Lightning 5-4, with just 34 per cent of Proline players successfully backing the victory.

A $2 bet on a six-leg MLS parlay earned a Proline retails customer $1,997 while another won $2,545 from a $5 wager on a seven-leg NCAA football parlay. A digital player received $366 from a $1 bet on a 12-leg NFL parlay while another made $981 from a $3 bet on a three-leg NFL parlay.
