Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week
KAMLOOPS – A number of rabbits were brought to the B.C. SPCA as part of a cruelty investigation.
Pecan was one of them.
Now she has spent some time in the care of the Kamloops SPCA.
Animal care attendant, Lyndsay Stewart, wrote in a media release that Pecan is a gentle rabbit, “who is ready to find her furever home.”
It is unclear how she would do with other rabbits as Pecan was housed alone at her previous home.
So far she does not seem to have any issues with her rabbit neighbour Stewart says.
A slow and proper introduction is best to build a bond between two bunnies, but Stewart is unsure how she would do with cats or dogs.
Pecan is not used to being picked up so will need to get used to this slowly.
She does enjoy being pet and continued socialization will be needed to help her connect with her new family.
Pecan is approximately two years old and spayed.
For more information about Pecan contact the staff at the Kamloops SPCA. Her animal ID number is 455442.
