Another round of winter to hit Southern Interior highways

With April just around the corner, winter hasn't given up in the Southern Interior.

A long period of snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 25 centimetres is expected to impact the Okanagan Connector and Coquihalla Highway today, March 26, and overnight.

Environment Canada says a Pacific frontal system is moving across the Interior, spreading snow to southern highway passes. Snow will be heaviest over the Coquihalla Summit.

Before snow tapers off to flurries tomorrow morning, total accumulations of 15 to 25 centimetres are expected.

Visibility on highways can be suddenly reduced at times and weather in the mountains can change suddenly.
