Kamloops man arrested in connection to stabbing near Sandman Centre

KAMLOOPS – Police have made an arrest after a stabbing victim was found at the Sandman Centre.

Yesterday, March 28, Kamloops RCMP arrested a 25-year-old man in connection to the stabbing, detachment spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release. The victim was found at the Sandman Centre earlier in the day.

The victim remains in hospital with a not life-threatening injury. Shelkie says the suspect was previously known to police and is from Kamloops.

Information will be forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service which will determine if and what charges are appropriate.
