More snow amounts to more accidents

It's deja vu for Kamloops RCMP every time the snow falls.

There were four accidents today after another dump of the powdery white stuff in Kamloops overnight.

"People aren't slowing down for it," said RCMP Const. Bernie Ward.

He doesn't have a total for the day yet, but he noted that more accidents may occur before it's over. Several incidents tied up roads and backed up traffic, but so far there are no reports of major injuries. He also pointed out minor accidents have consequences too.

"I'm sure there are people who are a little achy sore and who are angry because their cars look like pieces of junk now," Ward said.

Environment Canada is calling for more snow in the next three out of four days.

Ward is urging drivers to once again drive to road conditions.

"Wear your seatbelt, watch out behind you and slow down," he said.
