KAMLOOPS – A full force response from the Kamloops RCMP to a call about a man dressed in camouflage carrying a rifle Monday morning on the North Shore.
RCMP say the caller was standing at the corner of Tranquille Road and Schreiner Street at about 8:20 a.m.
It turned out the man was simply a hunter waiting for his ride for a day in the bush.
According to a media release from the RCMP, police blocked off the road and searched for the suspect using the dog unit and air support.
After enquiring with people in the area it was determined the man was a hunter waiting for his ride, police say.

as if the guy holding his bye gun getting charged and convicted wasn’. t enough to bring on the police state…now any sighting of a gun in public results in the swat team being deployed n some poor fucker getting the shit scared out of him[terrorised] Anyone remember the days of gun racks for your pickup- couple guns in the back window? what a wonderful society government has created eh?
