Public encouraged to attend community policing forum
PENTICTON – The Penticton RCMP detachment is interested in hearing from the public regarding policing needs.
A community policing forum is scheduled to take place on April 11 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, with detachment commander Superintendent Ted De Jager in attendance.
“I would like to invite all residents of the regional district to a community policing forum to let us know what they want to see. What do we need to do collectively to promote safety and wellness in our communities?” he asks.
A short presentation on current issues and trends will be followed by a panel discussion of those trends. Questions submitted prior to the forum will then be answered.
The public is invited to submit questions for discussion prior to April 10 at: PolicingForum@rcmp-grc.gc.ca
An open mike will be provided following the panel discussion if time permits.
The meeting is open to all residents from Summerland to Princeton.
