Dog attacks, kills 7-year-old boy in Maine

CORINNA, Maine – A dog has attacked and killed a 7-year-old boy in Maine.

The Penobscot (peh-NAHB’-skaht) County Sheriff’s Office says it happened Saturday evening in the town of Corinna, about 30 miles west of Bangor.

Authorities have not yet released the boy’s name or the breed of the dog involved in the attack. No one else was injured.

The dog has been impounded as authorities continue to investigate.
