Highway 3A closed due to mudslide
PENTICTON – A landslide has resulted in the closure of Highway 3A this morning.
The landslide came down at the east end of Yellow Lake this morning, April 13, covering both lanes of the highway in mud, trees and debris.
An unidentified RCMP officer on scene says the slide is still active, and no vehicles are being allowed past the intersection of Highway 3A and Twin Lake Road.
There is no word on when the highway will reopen.
Motorists can detour the affected portion of roadway by taking Green Mountain Road.
