UPDATE: Snow warning ended for Coquihalla and Okanagan Connector

Another round of winter weather hit some B.C. Interior highway passes today and will continue for others overnight.

Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement warning of snow for the Coquihalla Highway from Hope to Merritt and Merritt to Kamloops, along with the Okanagan Connector from Merritt to Kelowna, and Highway 3 from Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass now that the weather system has moved east. The passes were expecting to get up to 15 centimetres of snow today.

There is still a snowfall warning remain in effect for Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass, and the Trans-Canada Highway from Rogers Pass to Eagle Pass.

A Pacific low pressure system bringing the spring snowfall is tracking across southern B.C. today and will move into Alberta overnight.

Drivers should be prepared to adjust driving with changing road conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.
