MONTREAL — Quebec provincial police say they are investigating a homicide in Rimouski, Que., about 270 kilometres northeast of Quebec City, after a man was found fatally injured an apartment building on Friday.
Police say officers were called to the building at around 4:30 p.m. and found the 35-year-old man with very serious injuries.
Police spokesperson Camille Savoie did not elaborate on the kind of injuries the man suffered, but says gunshots had been heard.
Savoie says emergency responders attempted to resuscitate the man before pronouncing him dead at the scene.
Police say investigators were still at the apartment building on Saturday, trying to determine the circumstances that led to the man’s death.
Police had yet to make any arrests.
